Mister Donuts Greenhills temporarily closure for redevelopment

The iconic Mister Donut in Greenhills is one of the oldest donut chains in the Philippines. In fact, this branch holds significance as it served as the head office and training ground for new stores since 1982.

“Actually, hindi pa talaga kami nandito, noong na turn-over na ito sa amin ginawa itong head office, nag-umpisa pa ang Mister Donuts. Ang unang store ng Mister Donuts ay ang Recto branch kaya lang kasi ito ang tumagal ng 42 years. This store is mixed of head office, training stores and production facility”. says Meggie Jose, Philippine Marketing and Key Accounts Director of Mister Donut.

Over the years, this branch attracted numerous celebrities and well-known personalities, such as Fernando Poe Jr., Joseph “Erap” Estrada, Susan Roces, and Caridad Sanchez. These stories highlight the branch’s popularity and appeal. “Sa ngayon, ang production plant na nag-serve dito ay nasa Manggahan in Pasig-they served more than a thousand of stores of Mister Donuts at different outlets. Ever since, this is known as a “Dining store”, ito yung laging pinupuntahan ng mga joggers and bikers kaya sobrang ma-miss nila dito.” Meggie Jose also stressed.

Mister Donut in Greenhills has temporarily closed its operations last January 31 around 9:00 in the evening as directed by the Greenhills Mall (Ortigas Co.) for renovation and further redevelopment. However, customers can still enjoy Mister Donut at other nearby locations such as SM Megamall, Trinoma, and the newly opened branch in One Ayala in Makati. It is comforting to know that despite the closure of this iconic branch, Mister Donut continues to have more than 2000 establishments and outlets nationwide.
