Cheers to 33 Years: Never Be Out of Place, Never Go Out of Style With SilverWorks

Cheers to 33 Years: Never Be Out of Place, Never Go Out of Style With SilverWorks

SilverWorks, the country’s leading retailer of sterling silver jewelry for over 3 decades, celebrated its 33rd year with a blast. Aptly called the GenSW Party, SilverWorks ushered in a grand celebration of stylistic expression and an inspiring journey of an enduring brand that continues to evolve through the years.

Billed a throwback and comeback in one, the GenSW Party was held at the Trinoma Cinema Lobby from November 3-5, 2023. The retro-themed event came at the heels of SilverWorks’ highly successful Retro Campaign, proving to be an equally impactful follow-through. Talents across different generations graced the stage.

The three-day celebration featured dynamic skating exhibition numbers from roller skating group, J-Speed. Student dance groups from the National University, St. Claire College, and San Jose Academy showed off their electrifying moves and got the crowd on their feet during the Retro Dance Off. The National University Dance Company emerged victorious, bringing home the P20,000 cash prize.

Students from the College of St. Benilde School of Fashion Design also took the spotlight, putting their sartorial taste and talent on display via a colorful and sassy fashion show. Day 1 of the GenSW Party was hosted by in-demand events host, Mr. Chinatown 2016 and one-time SilverWorks content collaborator, Louie Ngo.

Day 2 featured an hour-long press conference with esteemed members of the press and renowned key opinion leaders, among them, One Palangga Nation, Manila Times, Malaya, Valerie Tan, Treisha Evans, and Lance Raymundo, who serenaded the crowd with popular music from decades past, as well as current hits. The press conference also served as an opportunity for SilverWorks CEO, Louie Ocampo Gutierrez, to share more about the brand.

“Around 80% of our employees are below 30 years old,” Gutierrez shared. “Their ideas and energy keep the brand young, growing and always relevant.” Indeed, employees are the lifeblood of the brand, and on the final day of celebration, the spotlight was on the SilverWorks team.

Former and current employees took the activation area by storm, garbed in their best retro outfits, having the time of their lives playing fun games and singing their hearts out during the mini concert, which featured performers Skarlet Brown and Gerson Aldave.

Throughout the fun-filled 3-day affair, SilverWorks stayed true to its core, providing selling, jewelry personalization and ear piercing services to customers and guests alike. The activation area was a show of colors, with vibrant campaign posters from years back taking the center stage in the exhibit area.

True to CEO Louie Gutierrez’ words, throughout more than 30 years of being in the Philippine jewelry market, from millennials, to Gen Z, to Gen Alpha, SilverWorks is alive and kicking. There is GenSW in every generation, and it is worth celebrating everyday, in every way.

SilverWorks is grateful to its patrons, collaborators and event partners, without whom the grand celebration will not be possible. The brand extends special thanks to the hardworking SilverWorks team, its CSR arm, Urban Farmers PH, sister brands, Edible Blooms by Maye and Ocampo’s Fine Jewellery, and respected speaker, Eton International School founder, and GenSW Party events coordinator, Ms. Jacqueline Marzan Tolentino.
