XYVRL’s journey into music began almost as soon as she could talk. By the age of 2, she was already singing the full melody of “Alone” by Heart, and by 3, she was crafting and humming her own tunes. Her passion for music continued to blossom throughout her childhood, leading her to write acoustic songs and perform at school events. Self-taught on the guitar and keyboard, and with basic violin mentoring, XYVRL’s early years were marked by a deep, self-driven musical education.
The pandemic marked a significant turning point in her musical journey. A school assignment allowed her to explore recording, leading her from acoustic to hip-hop. This shift opened new doors, and soon she was participating in online songwriting contests and rap challenges. Her talent did not go unnoticed, earning recognition from Filipino rap legends Gloc-9, Smugglaz, and Loonie.
XYVRL’s exposure to various music genres growing up has shaped her into a versatile artist, capable of blending different styles to create something uniquely her own. No wonder she easily got recognized by a major record label here in the Philippines like UR. Her debut single “Ako Lang ‘To” is just the beginning, promising a fresh and innovative sound that is sure to captivate audiences.
